When I first noticed the tiny Karimunjawa islands on a map of Central Java it was an area I’d never heard of and didn’t know existed. Even checking it out on Google Earth didn’t give any clues about what to expect. I was therefore intrigued to find out more, and see what this archipelago of islands 80 kilometers out in the Java sea had to offer.
